What if you had someone to ask instead?
A parent consultation session is a focused, one-on-one conversation — typically 60 minutes — where we go below the surface of what's happening in your family. You bring the questions, the behaviors, the situations that feel most pressing. I bring developmental context, relational insight, and practical tools.
We might explore:
You won't leave with a diagnosis. You'll leave with understanding — and a clear sense of what to try next.
A focused deep dive into one area of concern — a specific behavior, a developmental transition, or a question you haven't been able to answer. Ideal for parents who want clarity on a particular challenge without an ongoing commitment.
Book NowFor families navigating a bigger pattern or transition that needs more time to understand and address. Three sessions give us room to reflect, try things, and adjust together. Best for ongoing behavioral patterns or significant developmental moments.
Learn MoreFor teachers, school counselors, and childcare professionals wanting developmental support for specific children or classroom dynamics. Bring your questions about behavior, regulation, or relational challenges — I speak your language.
InquireParent consultation is a good fit if:
This is an important question, and I want to answer it plainly.
Therapy is clinical mental health treatment provided by a licensed professional. It assesses and treats mental health conditions, works with trauma, and is regulated by state licensure. If your child or family is experiencing significant mental health symptoms, crisis, or needs diagnosis and treatment — therapy is the right path, and I'm glad to help you find it.
Parent consultation and psychoeducation are educational and supportive in nature. Think of it this way: your pediatrician gives you guidance on sleep, nutrition, and development. A lactation consultant helps you with feeding. A parent consultant helps you understand behavior, development, and relationship — not as a clinician, but as a knowledgeable guide.
The distinction matters — not to diminish what consultation offers, but to be honest about what it is. It's education. It's insight. It's partnership.
Please consider reaching out to a licensed therapist or counselor if your child is experiencing significant distress, anxiety, depression, or trauma responses; if there is a safety concern; if your child has received or may need a mental health diagnosis; or if family dynamics involve ongoing crisis. If you're not sure which fits your situation, I'm happy to help you think it through.
